Prior to founding Making Minutes!, Tom served as Vice President of Sales for two fast growing technology companies based in San Francisco. Previously, Tom founded Active Stick Wear, a company that designed, manufactured and distributed sportswear to 87 department store chains including Macy’s, Penny’s, Sears, Kids R Us, Footlocker and Wal-Mart. Following his graduation from The University of Colorado, Tom spent some time in Hollywood where he studied improvisation, acted in commercials, and played small parts on a variety of soap operas.
Alice Heiman, VP Training
Alice has delivered Making Minutes! for a variety of sales teams and has helped them to significantly improve their productivity. She helps salespeople to focus on priority revenue generating activities so they can shorten the sales cycle and close more business.
Alice developed her sales expertise while at Miller Heiman, Inc. before striking out on her own, establishing Alice Heiman, LLC in 1997. In her years at Miller Heiman she sold to and trained some of the country's largest and most complex accounts including: Coca Cola, Dow Chemical, Fidelity Investments, UTC Fire & Security and Hewlett Packard. Her work has earned her numerous awards including Saleswoman of the Year, Marketer of the Year and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Small Business Blue Ribbon Award. For the past 20 years she has spoken at numerous conferences and professional organizations and run sales training for salespeople and sales management throughout the country.
